Continuing Education Schools
Continuing Education came into existence for adults who wished to further their education and growth as part-time students and was especially suited to students beyond the traditional age of a college student. Generally, the Continuing Education adult student already had an education and was wishing to further his or her education on a part-time basis.
Continuing Education students ordinarily enrolled in non-credit-granting schools for personal enrichment through courses offered by small community colleges. However, Continuing Education studies now largely include credit-granting colleges and universities that offer courses either in a classroom setting or through distance learning.
